This isn’t hyperbole. The biological agent behind Latisse’s unique product – bimatoprost – is the only FDA-approved, scientifically-proven eyelash enhancer on the market. It’s natural to be skeptical of self-proclaimed miracle treatments, but Latisse is simply a good product which really works.
Here at Richard and Armstrong Optometrists, we are happy to offer a service which is clinically proven to thicken, darken and increase the quantity of your eyelashes.
Latisse is applied to the upper eyelid only and works by lengthening the anagen (aka growth) phase of your eyelashes. This increase allows the lashes to grow longer and develop thicker stems before eventually being replaced. In addition, Latisse causes more lashes to grow during the anagen phase, giving you a larger population of luscious lashes.
Latisse does not offer a permanent solution, in the traditional sense; it will, however, continue to enhance your lashes for as long as you keep applying it. It should be carefully used on your upper eyelid line every morning – as you blink, it naturally works its way into your eyelid and starts affecting growth.
You must remove contact lenses before application, and never apply Latisse to the lower eyelid.
Since Latisse works by affecting the natural growth cycle of your lashes, it takes a little time. You may see fuller lashes in as little as two months, though it is advised to continue the treatment for the full 16 weeks in order to see the final result. Remember to keep applying every day in order to maintain your new look!
As with any medication, there is always the chance of experiencing side effects. The odds are pretty low in the case of Latisse, but you should always be aware of possible consequences.
It’s possible, for those already suffering from an eye disease, that you may not qualify for Latisse use. Before investing any money, we highly recommend you visit your practice for a full eye health exam and vision assessment.
If the news is positive and you want to begin treatment, we will be able to offer you a prescription and help you on your way.
We are located near the corner of W Smith Valley Rd and US 31, east of the Greenwood High School and post office.
